Ljudska Univerza Ptuj is one of the most recognised adult education institutions in Slovenia, with almost a century of experience in both formal and non-formal learning. It provides a wide range of lifelong learning opportunities, from basic skills and vocational training to community-based initiatives that support personal and professional growth. Each year the organisation serves more than 1,500 learners and collaborates with over 80 external educators, reflecting its strong operational capacity. LUP plays an active role in promoting social inclusion, digital literacy, and community development, and has a long tradition of participating in national and European projects. It is committed to innovation in adult education and continuously works to improve access to high-quality learning for diverse groups of adults, including those with fewer opportunities.

The Faces of the Project

Petja Janžekovič

Petja Janžekovič holds a Master Degree in Philosophy. Working in the field of adult education for 22 years. Expertise in organizing formal and non-formal education, worked also as professor, lecturer, ICT expert, mentor for older adults, conference speaker, coordinator of international study visits and project’s leader. His skills include project writing, managing and reporting, media communication, evaluation and dissemination expertise. Since 2008 he is conducting EU and national projects for LUP. Experience with lifelong learning implementation; has cooperated in more than 25 international projects, including Centre for Lifelong learning Podravje, Grundtvig Learning Partnerships, Grundtvig Multilateral, EU for Citizens programme, and, as 2015, as coordinator and as partner, in Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships. Since 2008 he is responsible for most of LUP international projects from preparation stage, implementation and project management to the final reporting and content delivery production.
