The European Union has set ambitious targets for digital skills. The Digital Decade policy programme aims to ensure that 80% of EU citizens have at least basic digital skills by 2030. To support this, the European Skills Agenda aims to bring the total number of adults with basic digital skills to 230 million.
Yet many adult learners, particularly those with fewer opportunities, still lack these essential skills. Adult educators are on the front line of addressing this challenge. But they often lack the training and confidence to use AI and digital tools effectively in their teaching.
