On 2-3 July, we gathered in Patras, Greece, for the second Transnational Project Meeting of the DAMET project, hosted by EMVIO. The meeting marked another important step in our collaboration and gave us the opportunity to review our progress, exchange ideas and coordinate the next phases of the project.
During the meeting, representatives from all partner organisations discussed the work completed so far across the project’s work packages. We reviewed our achievements, addressed current challenges and agreed on the priorities that will guide our work during the coming months.
Particular attention was given to the development of the DAMET online training programme. We discussed the progress of the six learning modules, shared feedback from the peer review process and identified the final improvements to be made before the educational materials move to the next stage of development.
Through this training programme, we aim to provide adult educators with practical knowledge and useful resources for integrating Artificial Intelligence into their teaching. Our goal is not only to help educators develop technical skills, but also to strengthen their ability to use AI critically, ethically and responsibly.
We also discussed the development of the project’s micro-credentialing framework. Together, we explored the pedagogical and technical requirements for recognising the knowledge and skills that adult educators will gain through the DAMET training programme. This framework will support flexible learning pathways and make learners’ achievements more visible and transferable.
The meeting also gave us valuable time to share experiences from our different national and organisational contexts. We discussed the challenges educators currently face as Artificial Intelligence becomes increasingly present in education and explored how DAMET can offer practical support in response to their real needs.
Beyond the planned discussions, meeting in person strengthened our cooperation as a consortium. Open dialogue, shared experiences and constructive feedback helped us develop a common understanding of the work ahead and reaffirmed our commitment to the project’s objectives.
As Artificial Intelligence continues to transform education, we believe that adult educators need both the skills and the confidence to use it in ways that are transparent, inclusive and centred on people. Through DAMET, we are working together to create accessible and relevant learning opportunities that respond to this need.
