DAMET Launches to Support Adult Educators with AI and Microcredentials

The DAMET project officially launches with the aim of supporting adult educators across Europe to strengthen their digital competences through artificial intelligence and microcredentials.

Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, DAMET responds to a growing need in adult education. Educators are increasingly expected to use digital and AI-based tools, often without clear training pathways or recognised certification. DAMET addresses this gap by offering practical learning opportunities combined with transparent skills recognition.

At the core of the project is the Digital Competency Development Platform, an online environment designed specifically for adult educators. Through the platform, educators access a structured e-learning programme consisting of six short modules, focusing on the effective and ethical use of AI in education. The learning approach is flexible, practical, and directly linked to real teaching contexts.

DAMET also introduces a European microcredential framework, supporting the validation and recognition of digital and AI-related competences. This framework helps educators demonstrate what they can do, supports continuous professional development, and promotes comparable recognition of skills across countries.

The project brings together six organisations from Slovenia, Lithuania, Italy, France, Greece, and Spain, combining expertise in adult education, vocational training, digital innovation, and social inclusion. This strong partnership ensures that the project responds to real needs and diverse educational contexts across Europe.

Throughout the project, adult educators, trainers, and education professionals will be actively involved in DAMET activities, with a clear focus on professional development and skills recognition. By engaging with the project’s learning modules, digital tools, and microcredential system, participants strengthen their competences, apply AI in real teaching contexts, and gain recognised evidence of their digital skills. DAMET supports educators in building their professional profile, increasing confidence, and advancing their careers in a rapidly evolving digital education landscape.

DAMET aims to empower adult educators, promote responsible use of AI, and support adult education systems in adapting to rapid digital change. By combining innovation with recognition, the project contributes to stronger, more inclusive, and future-ready adult learning environments.
